Max Uak
Max is an artist and graphic designer originally from Kazakhstan with a Bachelor of Visual Arts. As a multidisciplinary artist working in painting, digital design, urban art, ethnic art, old fashioned NZ art and illustration. My collection of illustrations is inspired by the uniqueness of Aotearoa and completed in ethnic fantasy style.
I like to look at the world from my own eyes and bring a new outlook to viewers. It is a constant search for the best way to interpret the mix of the ideas I have and the place I live in. Each piece I create is an extension from the stories I’ve heard, where I’ve come from and what I've learned on my way.
