Lily Emo
Drawing, painting and making things has been my passion for as long as I can remember.I make my images with a variety of media, including traditional materials such as watercolour, gouache, pencils, crayon , printmaking and collage, as well as using digital technologies. I also like to paint with oils.
I live in a small city in Aotearoa, New Zealand with my family. I am Pākehā, with ancestry from Scotland and England. I worked in education as a high school art teacher for several years, before leaving that to pursue work as a freelance illustrator. I am a published children’s book illustration and am grateful that I get to create and do what I love as a job.
