Goran Trpkov
Originally from Macedonia, Goran came to New Zealand in 2013 to study and pursue a career in digital art. He graduated from Media Design school in 2015 with a bachelor in Arts and Design and has been working professionally as a 3D artist ever since.
Having a background in traditional art (Bachelor of Fine Arts/Printmaking at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Macedonia) made him seek different avenues to scratch an itch in creativity and artistic fulfilment: drawing, watercolors, digital sculpting and a great passion recently, for painting in oil.
Goran's work explores figures, portraits, light and atmospheric phenomena, mythology and narrative, perception and qualia, human nature and the psyche. He likes to experiment with the qualities that impasto, dripping and various other techniques give to painting and hopes to use these as a language to convey meaning in many paintings to come.
