A thick brush stroke small portrait of a girl. It started off as a sketch from a very tiny reference image. I wanted this to be an experiment on framing, so I cropped it in a weird way. To me this gives the feel as the girl is tip toeing, or trying to peek over a fence. There is a tension in trying to maintain balance that keeps this painting interesting beyond the available content itself.
