Arachne and Pallas Athena.
Calculating...

Based on my interpretation of the story of Arachne. An old story from Greek mythology, speaking of the hubris of men (and women in this particular case) in thinking they can reach or surpass the gods. In the case of Arachne, she was the best weaver of tapestries alive. The word of her skill and art reached Athena, so the goddess herself decided to pay her a visit and challenge her boastful claims. For the ones that haven't read the story, it doesn't end too well for Arachne, but I suggest you do read the real thing ... I suggest "Mythos" by Stephen Fry or "Metamorphoses" by Ovid
